Our History
Since every franchisee is an important part of the Christian Brothers story, let’s start by telling you a little about our roots. Founded in 1982, Mark Carr wanted to change the automotive repair industry by following the company’s mission – “love your neighbor as yourself”. Christian Brothers Automotive quickly became known for providing customers with honest and transparent work. As a result, Christian Brothers soon found homes throughout Texas, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Colorado, Georgia, and Florida. After more than 30 years, our franchisees continue to run successful stores with the same mission, enabling them to build wealth, make time for what matters to their family, and live out their faith.
A Resilient Industry
It’s a great feeling to come into work every day knowing we are providing a service that someone will always need. Did you know an average person spends $766.50 a year on car maintenance? Over 90% of U.S. households own a car and they drive around 29.2 miles a day; most making two trips with an average total duration of 46 minutes. Christian Brothers removes the stress and headache of car repairs so our customers can focus their time and energy on what’s most important to them.

Since opening the first store, Christian Brothers has expanded to more than 176 locations across the country. Our model is thriving and here a few of the successes we are most proud of:

We have a Home Office team of more than 90 people ready to support you and your store. The Home Office provides training and support for operations, marketing, accounting, IT, and purchasing; ensuring you with a base to succeed.

At Christian Brothers, we select and purchase the land, then design and build a facility that meets our standards. After being awarded a store, our in-house real estate team spends time researching different locations. After your site has been approved, our legal team negotiates the contract with the seller to ensure you receive the best pricing. From here, we create building plans and secure the necessary building permits. Once the building permits have been secured, the construction process for your new store begins. After your store has been built and you’ve received the Certificate of Occupancy – you are ready to open for business! Our entire process usually takes 18-24 months.
